Route 8 daagse Groepsrondreis Snowshoeing in Finland

Nestled in the heart of the Finnish wilderness lies the beautiful Oulanka National Park, a vast expanse of snow-laden pine trees, frozen lakes and waterfalls. There is no better way to explore this stunning setting than by strapping on a pair of snowshoes and heading out to break new trails. In the company of our expert leader, we take varied day tours in the surrounding area, including a visit to the spectacular Riisitunturi National Park.

  1. Dag 1 - Start Basecamp Oulanka.
  2. Dag 2 - Introduction to snowshoeing with an easy hike in the national park; Oulanka by night.
  3. Dag 3 - Snowshoe walk over suspension bridge around Lake Jyravajarvi and Castle Rocks.
  4. Dag 4 - Transfer to Riisitunturi National Park; walk through a unique landscape to viewpoint.
  5. Dag 5 - Free day in Ruka for optional activities. 
  6. Dag 6 - Long snowshoe tour in Oulanka National Park following the 'Little Bear Trail'.
  7. Dag 7 - Optional activities including ice climbing and snowmobiling; dinner around a campfire.
  8. Dag 8 - End Basecamp Oulanka.
